2026 Development Updates

Hey everyone,

Here is a quick update on where things stand as we wrap up January.

Android Currently internal testing a major set of improvements. The highlight is background sync and processing of scheduled items: the app will now be able to sync and create/move repeating items in the background without needing to be open.

I’ve also addressed a large number of bugs and crashes in this build.

Once internal testing clears, I’ll publish more detailed release notes here. By the way this is the new page where all releases will be tracked from now on.

iOS A new update is currently rolling out to the App Store. This version fixes a significant number of crashes and includes several usability improvements. You can check the full release notes here: Everdo for iSO 1.8.1

So am I! Thanks for your support.

The background sync on Android is working well in internal testing. Can’t wait to share this update - it’s so useful to always have the updated state on mobile. But I’m constantly finding other important things to re-test and fix up. It’s going to be great.

Hey everyone,

Here’s an update on what’s been happening with Everdo development.

Android A major update has been released. The headline feature is background sync — the app now syncs every 15 minutes in the background (OS permitting), so your data should be much more up to date when you open it. You can verify it’s working at https://sync.everdo.net/ and read about the limitations here.

Beyond that, this release includes a lot of usability polish, performance improvements, and stability fixes.

Full release notes are available Development Log | Everdo Documentation

iOS Currently working on the long-awaited dark mode support. More to share soon.
