Android app ESS login "sign in error event loop thread panicked"

I’ve switched to GrapheneOS and am struggling getting ESS working. Pairing via QR Code just does nothing (I can see the QR code in the camera view of the Phone, but nothing happens).

When trying to login manually into ESS by providing username and password I’m getting an error message saying “sign in error event loop thread panicked”

Hey Mish,

I’ll look into this for you. A few questions

  1. Which app version are you using (Navigation Drawer → Settings → Diagnostics → Everdo version)
  2. Have you tried bringing your phone as close as possible to the QR code (while still having it fit the screen)? That might help with the scanning

Thank you for the Quick reply. Putting the phone really up to the QR so it fills the screen completely did the trick (although really fiddly).

Glad it worked. This is because the code contains a lot of information for pairing, which is lost if the image is not large enough.
