Sometimes when I try to remove the star symbol, it doesn’t work because the task has reached the due date. In this case, the star symbol is always set and cannot be removed. It might help to distinguish such tasks from tasks which have set the focus manually or by reaching the scheduled date, if the star symbol for due tasks would be shown in red color instead of the usual yellow color.
