As a user, I would like a configuration setting that let’s me choose whether the action item detail is displayed collapsed or expanded when Everdo starts so that I don’t have to make a change manually each time.

I don’t think anyone would choose to globally collapse all details by default…
I think to really improve this we would need to make collapsed a property of an item and store it.
Yes, please do something. Maybe just remember the last collapse state for each list.

I would, first thing I do on each list is collapsing because I have very long notes with my items. Sometimes I store complete email conversations inside the note field. Of course this makes my lists very long and scroll intense.

Having everything collapsed by default as a view option could be added, though I’m not sure that’s exactly what you need… What happens when you open such view, expand one of the items, then navigate somewhere else and then go back? Is the item collapsed or expanded now?
When I restart everdo all collapse related preferences are lost.
You should really consider persisting the collapse status of each list.
additionally an option for default behavior would be useful but does not suffice.

Hello Andrei, will you update Everdo this year?- If yes, can you consider collased / expand view of the left panel. Sometines is good to have this feature. Thanks

It’s quite annoying to have to expand or collapse all left dropdowns again every time the program starts. Tnx
Yeah it is annoying and I think should be fixed. I don’t know if it’s a good idea to sync this, but at least persisting locally would go a long way.
