I have not receive an email with the download links.

I know you already reply to that question, but do we need to uninstall before installing the new version or we can install directly over the old one ?

You can use the update button in ~top right corner of the desktop app

I launch the update using the update button when it appears … no need to uninstall the old version

No need to uninstall, just run the new installer and restart the app.
