Is there a way to sync that doesn’t involve the desktop app at some point. The ESS setup requires an encryption key that comes from the desktop app. I don’t have a desktop, just mobile. Any way for me to sync?
Answered my own question. I was able to make up my own 16 word key and use it on my two iOS devices to enable sync between them so I do not need the desktop app.

Do I understand it correctly - It is possible that your mobile phone acts as the “server”?
No. I’m syncing to the ESS server. I just figured out that I didn’t need to use the desktop app to generate the encryption key.
