I want to use everdo on my work computer, however as it is the case with many corporate environments - I can’t get my mobile device on the same network, and manually syncing via JSON import/export is pretty cumbersome.

I am in the same situation, I can’t use the mobile app due to this reason. The mobile and the PC are not in the same network and I can’t sync them in my job.
I’m very aware of this difficulty. The encrypted sync service is aimed to improve things, making sync seamless in settings like this. It’s the next priority. We’ll begin testing soon.
