So, I was smart enough to copy my product key when updated and reformatted my laptop, but it didn’t occur to me to copy the encryption key.
My phone is still synced to the ESS. Is there an easy way to get the key from my phone back into my laptop? I’m assuming that if I find that the local everdo database on my phone that’s where the encryption key will be. Is there a utility in everdo to help with this? Is the encryption key visible in everdo for an android device?
Yes, it is visible. Tap the hamburger button to open the sidebar/drawer, then Settings → Sync service manual setup → Encryption key. You’ll see the 16-word sequence that can be entered on your laptop as you configure sync.

Thank you for the very prompt reply.
I was a little reluctant to poke around those settings, since I was worried I was going to do something stupid and really mess things up.
