Is it possible that if I select a Tag/Context to filter results, it also filters to only show the related list of Projects and Notebooks, while hiding (or less preferred: light-greying out) the rest?

If you are not using areas already, a suggestion:
You could make those tags areas, and then filter by them using the top left option that allows for filtering by areas. That would hide projects and so the way you need.
