Why can't I share the product key with another user?

I really like Everdo and have been considering buying the premium version. However, the only thing that is stopping me, is that according to the FAQ, I can only use the product key on my own devices. The thing is I really need to share the product key with another person.

So I would like to know why I can’t share the product key with another person and what will be the consequences if I do?

So the other user can benefit from Everdo Pro features also without having to buy another license.

That sounds a lot less like a need, and a lot more like a want. This is the legal agreement Everdo - Terms of Use . Basically, you need to keep the key a secret to yourself, and keys shared with multiple people can be made unusable.
