Hello everyone,
Starting with the next release of the Everdo Desktop app, we are updating the list of supported build targets. These changes are necessary to streamline our build pipeline.
Mac: Apple Silicon Support We are introducing a Universal DMG. This means Everdo will now run natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) devices, offering significantly better performance and battery efficiency compared to the previous Intel translation. The current version (1.9.0) was already re-published in the universal format.
Windows: x64 Only We are deprecating the win32 (IA32/x86) build. Moving forward, only the standard x64 Windows installer will be provided, which covers the vast majority of modern Windows devices.
Linux: Streamlining Formats We are deprecating distribution-specific packages, specifically .deb and .pacman. Moving forward, please use the Snap Store or the AppImage format. This reduces the overhead of maintaining specific package dependencies and ensures a consistent experience across all Linux distributions.
These changes allow us to focus development time on features and core stability rather than maintaining low-usage build artifacts.
Thanks for your understanding.
